Custom tungsten carbide parts are widely used in cold forging, mining, oil & gas, wire drawing and plastic recycling industries. Many international buyers encounter problems such as unclear drawings, unachievable tolerances, inappropriate carbide grade selection and delayed delivery when sourcing custom carbide products. Rleey builds a standardized full-cycle project workflow to manage custom carbide orders, covering RFQ, drawing review, technical confirmation, production, QC and final delivery. Our engineering team helps customers avoid technical risks and ensure parts match your actual application requirements. The whole custom project starts when customers send the RFQ request. To get an accurate quotation, buyers need to provide key information including 2D/3D drawings, target quantity, working conditions, required material grade, dimensional tolerances, surface finish and special testing requirements. Our sales and engineering team will evaluate your application, confirm working load, abrasion and impact conditions, and give professional suggestions on carbide grades if you have not selected a suitable grade. Drawing review is the most critical step before quotation. Our engineers carefully check every detail on your technical drawings: If the design has unfeasible structures or overly tight tolerances, our team will communicate with you promptly to adjust the drawing before starting production, saving your cost and lead time. After drawing review is completed, we prepare a formal quotation. The quote clearly lists unit price, MOQ, sample cost, production lead time, payment terms, shipping options and included inspection documents. For custom carbide items, MOQ varies according to blank mold cost and machining complexity. Simple custom parts can support small batch orders, while complex structural carbide components usually have higher MOQ. Once both sides confirm the quotation and technical specification, we will issue a technical specification sheet as the binding standard for production. For most new custom projects, customers choose sample testing before mass production. We manufacture samples strictly according to confirmed drawings. After sample finishing, we carry out full inspection including dimension check, hardness and density test. Then we send samples together with test reports for customer evaluation. If samples need modification based on your field test feedback, we will revise the drawing and make adjusted samples until performance meets your requirements. After sample approval, we arrange mass production following our standard carbide manufacturing workflow: powder mixing, pressing, vacuum sintering, optional HIP treatment and precision machining. In-process QC is carried out at each production stage. Technicians monitor blank weight, sintered dimension, surface defects and machining accuracy. Any non-conforming products will be separated and recorded immediately to prevent defective goods from flowing into the next process. When all inspection items pass, the batch is approved for release. We pack carbide parts carefully to avoid damage in international transport and send all inspection documents together with the shipment or by email in advance. A: 2D engineering drawings with tolerances are essential. 3D CAD files, application description, quantity and special testing requirements also help us make accurate quotation. A: Yes. Our engineers can provide manufacturability optimization suggestions, but all drawing changes must be confirmed by customers before production. A: We will analyze the root cause together, adjust material grade or structure, and produce revised samples according to agreed technical plan.1. Introduction: Challenges of Custom Carbide Orders
